best visit yet

It has been a bit of a struggle meeting with my buddy every week. Comparing him and my little brother, who are both the same age, my brother is easier to converse with. My buddy seems to be holding back from me and I don't know what to do to make him talk to me more. I want him to confide in me and I don't know how to do that. This week Britta didn't come along. I think that might have been a good thing for he and I. We talked a little about when he is planning on taking the ACT. I told him about my experiences with the test and that I think he should take it more than once. We also talked about what schools he thinks he could be interested in. I told him that he should start looking into that right about now and that it's important to start looking now. Then for the rest of the time, he and I just joked around with each other. He told me a little about his classes at school and how he hates choir. We play jacks with Ruth and her little and just pretty much hung out. He seemed much more easy going and happy to be spending time with me this week than I have seen in him yet. I enjoyed this week very much. I am growing closer to him. I hope it stays that way!

the first visit since break

It was an interesting visit this time. He didn't want to talk to me right away. It almost felt like we were moving backwards. Then after a little time he opened up little by little as the day went on and by the end of the visit it was back to how it was before we left for break. We talked a little about what we all did over break. We also talked about what we had coming up, our classes and his how he thinks that he's going to do on his finals. It was a nice catch up and hopefully we'll progress a little more. Getting to know him is a slow process but I think that he and I will continue to become better friends as time goes by.
